Which briquettes to choose

RUF briquettes are brick-shaped and do not expand sideways as they burn, so they also suit stoves with a small firebox. Bark night briquettes are made from selected bark, which slows down burning, and are used for heating overnight. Extra-compressed cylindrical briquettes are pressed exceptionally hard and burn slowly and for a long time.

Price of briquettes

The price per kilogram falls as the weight ordered rises. For each kind we therefore show the price per pallet and the price per tonne, so that offers can be compared.

No chemicals or additives

All our briquettes are made solely from wood or bark, with no chemicals or additives. They have a calorific value of 17.3 to 18.5 MJ/kg and are suitable for fireplaces, wood-burning stoves, tiled stoves, solid-fuel boilers and open fires.

Briquettes for fireplaces, stoves and boilers

You can use wood briquettes in fireplaces, wood-burning stoves, tiled stoves, solid-fuel boilers, garden barbecues and open fires. Unlike firewood, they are uniform in size and take up less space.

Briquette specifications

  • RUF: brick 15 × 10 × 6.5 cm, 10 kg pack of 12 briquettes, ash content up to 0.38%
  • Extra-compressed cylindrical: diameter 9 cm, length approximately 25 cm, ash content 1.8 to 2.0%
  • Bark night briquettes: diameter 9 cm, length 24 to 27 cm, ash content up to 5%

How many briquettes to order

We supply each kind on a pallet, from 100 kg. A larger pack has a lower price per tonne, so it pays to order your supply for the whole season at once. Store briquettes in a dry place.

Delivery of briquettes

The carrier brings the pallet on a lorry with a tail lift and sets it down on the nearest hard surface at your address.

Bark briquettes are intended for overnight heating. Bark slows down burning, so heat is released for hours and glowing embers are often still in the firebox in the morning.

Are briquettes suitable for a small firebox?

RUF briquettes are suitable for a small firebox. They are brick-shaped and do not expand sideways as they burn, as cylindrical briquettes do.

How much does a pack of RUF briquettes weigh?

One pack of RUF briquettes weighs 10 kg and contains 12 briquettes.

What is the calorific value of wood briquettes?

Our briquettes have a calorific value of 17.3 to 18.5 MJ/kg.

What is the smallest quantity I can order?

We supply briquettes on a pallet, from 100 kg.

How much does a tonne of briquettes cost?

The price per tonne depends on the kind of briquette and the pack size. We show it with every pack size next to the price per pallet; it is lowest for the largest pack.

Are briquettes suitable for a fireplace?
